Grayce Kellam

Grayce Kellam is currently a Maryland-based interdisciplinary artist and is a recent graduate of Winthrop University with a Bachelors in Fine Arts. As an artist, Kellam feels the need to create meaning from her life, and the absurdity of the world, and sometimes her own existence leaves her in a state of nervousness. Through art, Kellam reflects anxieties that surround the human condition, one's self, and one’s relation to the world. Through sculpture Kellam explores her anxieties and alter ego through the use of repetition, reduction, and abstraction. The intrinsic value in her art is found during the process of creation. The experience of creating the artwork and exploring materials and techniques. She is interested in the space between private and public and is currently creating spaces that feature performance art.
